So, just what the heck were they supposed to draw?
It's Halloween baby!!  Artists took their choice of the MFE characters suggested and put them into a Halloween situation!!  Creepy, scary, funny....whatever they wanted as long as it has one of the characters and a Halloween theme.

Entries could be B&W or color, in any medium and were judged on artistic merit and originality.

Jimmy Palmiotti said: "...put a lot of thought into the drawing, used the theme with a sense of humor, good facial expressions, for a monkey, and nice placment of items to tell a story."

Jimmy Palmiotti said: "...good action, keeps with the theme of the contest and gets creative with it as well and nice use of lighting on the figures."

Ben Templesmith said: "Love it. The colouring and atmosphere of the piece.  The only thing I would say is maybe it'd work even better if the image was flipped around to the other side so it could flow a little better on the eye! "

Ben Templsmith said: "Strong image, nice colour, plus the angle makes it real interesting I think."

Honorable
Mention

Merola's pic was one of the favorites of all the MFE guys!  And although it came in 4th and doesn't "place" as far as prizes go, we felt it deserved special mention!

Jimmy Palmiotti said: "...good suspence and tense situation, placement of characters and overall nice drawing."

"Reminds me a little of Ted McKeever!  I love the feel of it, and the chaos of how it looks to have been put together. Rather loose, I dig that immensely."
